10% p.a. Guaranteed by our partner NBFC.
A deposit usually sits idle for years. With Secure Deposit it earns 10% p.a., paid and guaranteed by our RBI-registered partner NBFC. You and your landlord decide who receives it.
The share is written into the rental agreement. It can be changed later only if both of you agree, in the app.
The 10% p.a. return is paid and guaranteed by our partner NBFC (RBI-registered) under its deposit terms, which — with the NBFC’s name — are shown before you pay. UNETRA does not pay or guarantee the return. NBFC deposits are not insured by DICGC. Tax on the return, if any, is the receiver’s.

Questions
Does UNETRA hold my money?
No. The deposit is held by a regulated partner such as a bank, escrow agent or NBFC, depending on the product. UNETRA records it and tracks its status.
Will my deposit earn interest?
Yes. A Secure Deposit earns 10% p.a., paid and guaranteed by our partner NBFC (RBI-registered) under its deposit terms, which are shown — with the NBFC’s name — before you pay. UNETRA does not pay or guarantee the return itself.
Who gets the return?
By default it is shared equally, so tenant and landlord each get 5% p.a. You can instead agree that all of it goes to the tenant, or all of it to the landlord. The choice is written into the rental agreement, and changing it later needs both of you to agree in the app.
Is the deposit insured?
NBFC deposits are not covered by DICGC deposit insurance, which applies only to bank deposits. The guarantee on the return comes from the partner NBFC.
What if we disagree at move-out?
Either side can open mediation. UNETRA reviews the move-in and move-out evidence, and legal support is available through qualified partners.
